Prominent educationalist, progressive thinker, social activist, Ekushey Padak recipient Professor Sarif Hossain (1934-2007) was the initiator of Ad-din Foundation.

Dr. Sheikh Mohiuddin, a humanitarian, the eldest son of late Sheik Akij Uddin is serving as the Executive Director of Ad-din Foundation.

Barrister Rafique -ul Huq, a highly respected senior advocate under the supreme court of Bangladesh, is the existing chairman of Ad-din Foundation.
