An employees’ rally of Ad-Din Foundation, a non-government organisation dedicated to social and healthcare services to underprivileged people, was held in Jessore on Sunday morning.
The rally was organized at the Ad-Din Sakina Medical College in Puler Hat of the district town. Managing Director Abdul Karim of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) adorned the programme as the chief guest.
Abdul Karim hailed the Foundation for its role in providing service to humanity as well as its transparency in running its affairs.
He said, ‘I am impressed with the activities of Ad-Din.
What Ad-Din has done in poverty alleviation, development in health and education, other NGOs and medical colleges should follow.”
He also said, “Ad-Din Sakina Medical College is an example of discipline and punctuality.”
Mentioning its micro-credit programs he further added that the foundation was also contributing a lot in poverty alleviation in the rural areas.
Noted lawyer and Chairman of Ad-Din foundation Barrister Rafiqul Haque presided over the program. In his speech, he said, ‘Serving humanity is the best of all. Serving humanity means serving the creator. Ad-Din Foundation is delivering the service successfully.”
Deputy Commissioner Abdul Awal of Jessore, Journalist and poet Fokhre Alam, Executive Director of RRF Filip Biswas also spoke at the programme.
Ad-din Foundation executive director Dr Sheikh Mohiuddin, Dr Arifur Rahman Principal of Ad-din Women’s Medical College and Dr Tariqul Islam director of Ad-din Hospital also attended the programme.
Ad-din Hospital provides different sorts of services to poor patients round-the-year at free of cost.
