By the grace of almighty Allah, Ad-din has successfully established four Medical Colleges, viz, Ad-din Women’s Medical College, Dhaka in 2008, Ad-dinSakina Medical College, Jessore in 2012, BashundharaAd-din Medical College, Keranigonj, Dhaka by joint collaboration with Bashundhara Group in 2013 and Ad-dinAkij Medical College, Khulna in 2013. I am grateful to the respective authorities of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the University of Dhaka, the University of Rajshahi, the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) and the Bashundhara Group for their kind support and guidance.
Since its inception, Ad-din’s Medical Colleges have been continually striving for excellence in the field of Medical Education. We are shaping young minds to become future leaders in health services, medical education, research and public health. It is the winning spirit which we want to install into each student’s mind. Our educational strategy is to create a learning environment and guide students to acquire the appropriate knowledge, skills and temperament to practice medicine and be a member of the multidisciplinary health care team. Ad-din aims to bring in synergy between objectives of its Medical Colleges and guidelines of BMDC, and also the holistic personal development of the students to become ideal citizens as well as distinguished physicians. I am sure the teachers and students of the Medical Colleges of Ad-din will create a new success story in the history of Private Medical Education in Bangladesh.
The Medical College Hospitals of Ad-din already offer a wide range of services to its patients in both medical and surgical specialties. These facilities provide students with good opportunities for clinical learning. Given the focus of the Hospitals on serving the underprivileged population of Bangladesh, I am sure the students will blossom into empathetic doctors dedicated to serving their community.
May almighty Allah bless us all and give us the capacity to develop our students as leaders in the field of health care.
